Effective Promotion Tool

There are tons of resources out there that you can read on blogging.

However, you don’t need to read everything to make money from your blog, or use it as an effective promotion tool.

Here is my list of the best resources for helping you blog and make money from your blogging:
Blog Maniac - One of my favorite bloggers is Priya Shah. She was one of the first major internet marketers to get on the blogging bandwagon, and she offers several blogs. This blog offers a free blogging ecourse, complete with a nice collection of ebooks you can zip through and learn blogging.

Blog Brandz - Another one of Priya’s blogs, this one deals specifically with writing business blogs. She offers some excellent tips, as well as shows you how to get ideas and use your blog for your business.

Free Traffic Tip - Offered by my friend Tinu, this blog will show you how to get the most out of your RSS feeds and turn them into major marketing tools for your business. You’ll learn how to get plenty of free promotion, and she also covers podcasting, as well as how to get the most from Feed Burner and Amazon.

Professional Blogging GuidePro Blogger - Darren is one of the authors of Six Figure Blogging. If you want to learn more about blogging, as well as how to make money from your blog, this is the place. He offers plenty of tips and tutorials, as well as shows you how to monetize your blog.

Profit Pulling Niche Blogs Videos - Learn the basics of blogging and also learn how to set up profitable blogs for your business. This is just one of the many resources available on this site.

Bloggers find ways to profit

Web logs, or blogs, which started out as a labor of love, are becoming a moneymaker for writers who are selling advertising on their sites.

Some top bloggers who carry advertising say they make hundreds or, in a few cases, thousands of dollars a month. The typical take is more like $20 to $50 a month, which covers the cost of running a typical Web site.

A blog is an online journal typically written by an individual. Some are devoted to single topics, such as pets, poets or politics. Others are stream- of-consciousness musings on anything and everything. Most blogs are updated daily and feature links to other blogs.

The premiere of easy-to-use blogging software has increased their popularity.

Technorati, a San Francisco research company, says there are about 2.5 million blogs, with 10,000 being created each day.

The Pew Research Center estimates that between 2 and 7 percent of adult Internet users write a blog, and 11 percent visit blogs.

Although blogs have been around for about five years, it is only in the last year or two that advertising has been popping up on them.

The percentage of blogs that have ads is still quite low, but it is likely to grow now that companies like Google are making it easy for bloggers and advertisers to connect.

Bloggers whose readership consists of a few dozen friends and family, the usual case, are not likely to attract advertisers.

To lure ads, bloggers say a site should be about a specific product or subject. Henry Copeland, founder of Blogads, says people who want to sell ads on their blogs should plan to work on them hours a day for at least 18 months to develop a following.

"This doesn't happen overnight. You have to build a voice, a relationship, " he says.

Some people fear advertising will corrupt blogging and encourage bloggers to write for money, not passion.

"The presence of advertising clearly pollutes the simplicity of the relationship between the writer and the reader. But I think it would be really simplistic and indefensible to argue this is a unique problem in the blogging space," says Tim Bray, a blogger whose day job is director of Web technologies at Sun Microsystems.

Thanks to the Internet, "you can now self-publish. If you can build an audience, you can get paid for it," Bray says.

Here's a look at three different ways bloggers can make money:

Blogads: Blogads is a small North Carolina company run by Copeland.

Advertisers go to www.blogads.com and choose the sites they want to appear on. Prices range from $5 a week on Heretical Ideas to $700 a week on Daily Kos.

Most sites cost $20 to $50 a week, with discounts for monthly contracts. Blogads gets 20 percent of the rate; the blog gets the rest.

Blogads has a lot of political bloggers and advertisers.

Glenn Reynolds, a law professor who runs the libertarian blog Instapundit. com, starting running Blogads three months ago.

Reynolds says he's been pleasantly surprised at the results. Ads on his site cost $375 a week ($1,000 a month), and he made $4,000 in each of the last two months.

"I don't think I'll make that much this month. There's an initial wave of excitement which is likely to phase out," he says.

His site gets about 150,000 page views and 110,000 visits per day.

Reynolds and his wife even appear in one of his advertiser's ads, wearing the advertiser's "conservative T-shirts."

Google Adsense: Instead of selling ads on specific sites, Google Adsense sells ads linked to certain words that appear in the content of sites.

Bloggers say they like this approach because it provides relatively unobtrusive ads their readers might want to see.

Bray joined the Google Network by inserting some code on his blog, www.tbray.org/ongoing. That took about 15 minutes.

Among other things, Bray's site features a lot of flower photography. Now when visitors go to a page about flowers, they might see an ad for ordering tulips online, he says.

Advertisers pay Google each time a user clicks on their ads. Google gives a portion of this revenue to the site where the ad appears. Google won't disclose its prices or revenue share, and it forbids bloggers from disclosing them.

Bray says he makes about $200 to $500 a month from Google ads, after subtracting his Web hosting charges, which he won't disclose.

The average site pays $10 to $15 a month for Web hosting, although popular ones pay $50 to $100 or more.

Matthew Haughey, who runs Google ads on his TiVo-related Web site, pvr. blogs.com, says, "I'm making hundreds of dollars a month, but most people are making $5 a week."

Because Google is preparing to go public, it would not comment on Adsense. Its prospectus discloses that Adsense is a fast-growing part of its business, but it is less profitable than the advertising Google sells on its own search site.

Amazon Associates: While technically not advertising, Amazon. com has offered bloggers and other Web sites a way to make money since 1996 through its Associates program.

Sites that join the program link content on their site to books, consumer electronics and other products sold on Amazon. If a visitor clicks on the link and buys the product, the Web site gets a percentage of the revenue. This cut has been as high as 15 percent but is currently 2.5 to 10 percent, depending on the product. New York City blogger Jason Kottke, who runs www.kottke.org, participates in the program. No ads show up on his site, but if visitors click on a book or DVD he writes about, they may be transported to Amazon.com.

"I point to Amazon because it is informative," says Kottke. "I get maybe $100 a month from the Amazon links, sometimes less. It depends on how many books I'm reading or DVDs I'm watching."

Why Search Engine Optimization Is Important To Your Future

Building your website with search engine appeal - or search engine optimization - is more art than science but experience has shown that there are some very useful guidelines. The question is, why bother? With effective optimization you'll attract free website traffic that the search engines will send you. Free traffic goes a long way towards not only making your site income-generating but, hopefully, profit-generating as well.

With search engine optimization you might even receive a high traffic volume. Let's just say you have a conversion to successful sales with 5 to 10 percent of your traffic. If you get a hundred hits or more a day, you get a good number of sales already. If you get only twenty or so hits a day, you only get one or two sales if any at all. Higher traffic, especially if it's free, means potentially higher revenue.

Search engine optimization involves a variety of methods for making your site appealing to the search engines, such as having relevant keywords, title and content. It also helps to have other similar sites linking to yours. The aim is to have your site listed in the search engine results and apearing in, preferably, the first two or three pages. The higher the better. This will ensure that your site is displayed in answer to public inquiries as being possibly relevant. In turn, this increases public awareness and directs more traffic to your site - traffic that could lead to potential sales, revenue and profit.

There are many locations on the internet that can help you improve search engine optimization, including those that help in tracking keyword phrases. For instance, the free Yahoo/Overture Suggestion Tool, as well as many commercial keyword analyzers. There are also some content writers and article directories that can provide suitable keyword-laden content for you.

However, most people performing a search examine only the ten top results, which are on the first page. Those entries further down the list languish, with little attention. So making it to the top three pages is a barometer of a site's success in search engine optimization as you will get more people clicking through to your site when you have a higher ranking on these pages. And, as mentioned, more traffic means more business for you.

As you might have guessed, search engine optimization may require a fair bit of work to be fully realized. For instance, researching the keyword phrases that are popular for your niche or theme.

You may also need to rewrite your site's contents so that you get the right keyword phrases in your site without making it too awkward to read. There are useful guidelines that can be followed to assist with this.

Also consider collaborating with other web sites to obtain link exchanges and page transfers. Having inbound links definitely increases search engine appeal. Possibly the best way of gaining these is to write quality articles on the subject of your website and submit them to article directories for others to use. This generates desirable one-way links from those who post your articles on their websites, and they have usually selected your article because of its relevance!

When you need help just search the internet. Tips, guidelines and methods for search engine optimization are abundant and easily found. There are also many articles freely available that can help you optimize your website. Just posing the question on Google or inquiring at your favorite article directory will quickly locate some of these. The more informed you are the better. But resist the temptation to buy ebooks when so much free information is available.

This all helps in getting those high rankings. It may require a little time and effort but the benefits can be astounding.

E-commerce is a cut throat business. You have to arm yourself with the knowledge and tools needed to make your site a cut above the rest. Each day, more and more sites clamber for higher rankings and, if you get careless, you may just get trampled and be left in cyber dust.

In recent years, and in the foreseeable future, search engines have been the most widely used internet sources of information. Use them well and prosper.

However, even with effective optimization in place, don't just rest on your laurels; it is a continuing process. Check your ranking from time to time and also have a good look at what the top sites for a keyword are doing. Why do they have a higher ranking? What do you have to do to secure the top spot? Each day is a new day for all e-commerce sites or, as Scarlet O'Hara said: "Tomorrow is another day!"

What Internet Marketers DON'T Know About Wealth Attaction

It's a privilege to work with a number of the sharpest
Internet marketing wizards on the planet, including Derek
Gehl at The Internet Marketing Center. In fact, he and
Corey Rudl contributed a special chapter to one of my new
books, "No B.S. Direct Marketing For Non-Direct Marketing
Businesses."

And my businesses profit enormously, as do my clients, by
smart use of online marketing.

That's why I'll cover some key distinctions about making
money online vs. offline in two very special tele-seminars
($395 value). These valuable tele-seminars are yours as FREE
gifts from Derek Gehl.

They will take place only once, advance registration is
required, and latecomers may be refused admission.

So, reserve your spot right now at:

http://www.freegiftfrom.com/derekgehl

However, here's something to keep in mind: the Internet is
but a media, or, actually, a media toolbox. But it is no
more than that. It is not a panacea, not an end-all, be-all
for the entrepreneur seeking real, solid financial
independence. To establish real wealth, there's more than
one piece in the puzzle box!

There are three big secrets to the success that I believe a
lot of people miss or learn only slowly, expensively, and
late.

* SECRET #1: Diversity Equals Stability.

Conversely, relying on any one thing excessively equals
vulnerability. The worst number in business is: one.
One product, one service, one media, one key employee,
one key client.

If more than 10% to 20% of your income is dependent on
any one thing, you're a Titanic en route to an iceberg.
The smartest pencils in the box think: multiple.
Multiple sources of income. Multiple means of acquiring
customers. Multi-media.

This is not always welcome advice, especially by people
temporarily making lots of money easily and cheaply,
from one cheap media like the Internet. But I've been
a marketer and entrepreneur for more than 30 years.

I've seen lots of change, sudden upheaval, and lots of
financial wipe-outs by relying on 'one.' I've also
seen people grow and sustain giant incomes by
'multiple,' not 'one.'

That's why I so strongly urge a broad understanding
and application of direct marketing, using multiple
media. If you restrict either your education or your
implementation to any one media, you're making a huge
mistake.

* SECRET #2: Income vs. Equity.

Most marketers think only in terms of Present Income,
not in terms of locked-in Future Income or Equity. But
income equals income, here today, gone tomorrow. You
need to develop a business that provides both.

* SECRET #3: Sequential vs. Simultaneous.

Most people try to achieve whatever success they seek
sequentially. First, get an education. Next, a job.
Next, a business. Next, make a good income. Next, save.
Next, invest. Etc.

Entrepreneurs who get wealthy live simultaneously, not
sequentially. This is both a different mindset and use
of a different set of practical skills.

Observe, for example, Donald Trump, who I was on a
seminar program with last year.

Trump didn't get a hit TV show, then next in order, do
a book, then next in order, aggressively leverage his
brand beyond real estate, then next in order, start
and complete one real estate project before beginning
another, then next start speaking for $250, 000.00 and
up per speech, then next launch a magazine.

He put things into motion simultaneously. And if you
give yourself the excuses of "he was already successful"
or "easy for him –- he has lots of resources," you miss
the point.

Success is all about resourcefulness, not waiting until
you have resources. You attract resources by being
resourceful. You attract more faster by massive,
simultaneous action than timid, slow, sequential action.

If you find these ideas provocative and want to explore them
and others like them in deeper detail, I hope you'll obtain
copies of my two newest books (each with an audio CD):

"No B.S . Wealth Attraction For Entrepreneurs" and "No B.S.
Direct Marketing For Non-Direct Marketing Businesses"
available at bookstores or Barnes & Noble's special
direct order web site: http://www.BN.com/dankennedy.

If you prefer first getting free sample chapters, hearing me
interviewed about the books by Kristi Frank from season #1
of The Apprentice, and getting other free information, go to
http://www.NoBSBooks.com.

Also, Derek has arranged a very special free gift package of
two very special marketing and money making tele-seminars
with me. The gift is just for Internet Marketing Center
customers and friends selected to receive this article, and
only for a very limited time.

These tele-seminars will not be sold and participation is
extremely limited, representing a true value of at least
$395.

Three Key Tips for Starting Your Own Highly Effective

Excited yet? You should be -- blogging's not just a winning
strategy, it's also a lot of fun!

I'm having a great time with my new blog, The Candid
Internet Marketer (http://blog.marketingtips.com).

Like anything, it takes some time and effort to build a
successful blog. (In fact, I didn't want to start a blog
until I was sure I could devote enough time to keeping
it updated.)

However, the beauty of blogging is that you can easily
incorporate it into your daily schedule of tasks. You can
even blog when you're on the road -- which I am frequently!

But what does it take to become a really successful blogger?

1. GREAT CONTENT:

If your content isn't interesting and relevant to your
target market, your blog won't work. It's as simple
as that.

You'll be surprised, however, how easy it is to find
things to write about if you really put your mind to
it. It could be news articles about your industry,
product updates, interviews, personal insights into
topics of importance to your target audience...

2. REGULAR UPDATING:

I won't lie to you: there are some days when I really
find it hard to find the time to post a new article.
But if I don't post, no one will come back. It's like
subscribing to a daily newspaper but only getting a
copy delivered now and then!

So post often and your audience will keep coming back.
And regularly adding fresh content to your blog also
gives you a boost in the search engine rankings

3. YOUR OWN DISTINCT VOICE:

It's important that you write in your own voice. A blog
is no place for formality and corporate speak. It's
more of a forum... a place where ideas can flourish
and topics of current interest can be debated.

You don't even need to be a brilliant writer... you
just need to be able to relate to your audience and
give them good content.

How You Can Use a Blog to Wildly Accelerate

The fact is, blogs are no longer just online diaries of
people's personal lives. Both online and offline businesses
can use blogs to take their products and services to a wider
audience -- increasing their traffic, leads, and sales.

Let's look more closely at a few of the extremely powerful
ways your business can benefit from a blog. With an
effective business blog, you can...

HUMANIZE YOUR BUSINESS:

Because a blog is much more informal than other web sites,
you can write posts in your own voice and give your business
more of a human face.

This helps reassure prospective customers that there is a
"real person" behind the web site who will take care of
their needs. It also allows you to inject much more of your
own personality into your online business than your main
sales site could do.

IMPROVE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Your blog can act as a kind of interactive FAQ, allowing
your customers to submit questions and you to answer them.

You can also provide product updates, "how-to" articles, and
other information of relevance to your customers. And
prospective customers who see your blog will be encouraged
by your commitment to good customer service!

GIVE YOUR TARGET MARKET THE INFORMATION THEY'RE
LOOKING FOR:

With its automatic archiving feature -- by date and category
-- a blog is a fantastic content management system.

It's easy for you to post new information on a regular
basis, and it's easy for your visitors to find the
information they want.

With a well-written, regularly updated blog, you can become
a reliable resource in your industry, and build a following
of loyal readers who depend on your content. These people
will be your best potential customers!

DRIVE TRAFFIC TO YOUR SALES WEB SITE:

If you already have a web site, a blog can give your traffic
levels a real boost. For starters, your blog will attract
new visitors that you can then redirect to your main sales
web site through links and special offers.

But an even MORE effective technique is to use strategic
keywords and links to specific sales pages to dramatically
improve the search engine rankings of both your blog AND
your main web site.

BUILD YOUR CREDIBILITY AND ESTABLISH YOURSELF AS AN
INDUSTRY EXPERT:

You can give your credibility a real boost by regularly
posting valuable and relevant information on your blog.

It's a great way to establish yourself as an expert in
your subject area -- and allow your visitors to feel much
more comfortable buying from you.

PROMOTE YOUR PRODUCTS OR SERVICES:

You can actually sell products directly from a blog using a
service like PayPal, or you can use your blog to mention
new products and direct your visitors to your sales
web site.

GENERATE EXTRA INCOME:

There are now several advertising programs available, such as
Google AdSense ( http://www.google.com/adsense), that allow
you to monetize your blog and generate an extra revenue
stream.

There are many small business owners who are using blogs to
benefit their businesses right now... with some spectacular
results. We've come across farmers, PR consultants, tailors,
CEOs, and many more who blog with great success...

Harness the Marketing Power of the Latest "Cool Tool"

I'm sure you've heard about one of the biggest things to hit
the Web in the last few years -- blogging.

A "blog" (derived from the term "web log") is basically just
a web site -- with two key differences:

First, it's extremely easy to add information to it. A blog
is like an online journal, so you just log in, type what
happened today, post it, and you're done!

Second, you can add a simple little feature that
automatically tells a whole bunch of other web sites that
you've made an update to your blog -- every time you make a
change!

You may also have heard that there are millions of blogs out
there... more than 28 million with a new one starting every
second, according to blog directory Technorati
( http://www.technorati.com).

However, what you may NOT know is that a blog can also be a
very powerful marketing tool for your business... And some
people actually earn an income just from blogging!

The fact is, blogging is fast becoming an extremely
important strategy for any online marketer. An effective
blog can...

* Drive swarms of traffic to your main web site

* Generate MORE product sales

* Create an additional stream of advertising income

* Be a great customer service tool

... And much more.

Blogs have an informal, conversational style, and readers
can join in by commenting on each post. Blogs can be chatty,
controversial, informative, opinionated, and often humorous,
and it's this "human" aspect of blogs that draws many people
to them.

But the best part about blogs is how accessible they are to
EVERYONE. Blogs are...

* FREE (or very inexpensive) to set up using services like
Blogger (http://www.blogger.com ) or TypePad
(http://www.typepad.com).

* EASY to use -- you can literally create your own blog in
less than five minutes!

* EASY to promote with all the new tools and resources
that have been created specifically for blogs -- like
Google's blog-only search engine, Google Blog Search
( http://blogsearch.google.com).

... Plus, they are PROVEN successful promotional tools for
both online businesses and offline businesses. In fact,
every business person should have a blog -- and I suspect
that soon enough, everyone will.

Where are the high-profit AdSense markets hiding?

People always ask me how I find such great AdSense keywords and markets. So I tell them, but you’d think I was talking fly fishing or IRS laws. After one sentence and their eyes glaze over.

Despite what they tell you, market research is neither intuitive nor easy for your internet marketer. Research must be done, but most marketers would rather get on to the selling and turning a profit.

That’s where I come in. Some people were put on this Earth to itemize your expenses and calculate your tax return. I was apparently sent here to research. It doesn’t matter what the topic is. If I don’t have anything to do, I research. I just love it. Everyone calls me when they need something researched or found because I get to have fun and they get a comprehensive overview of their target with recommendations for action.

Several months ago I discovered AdSense.

I just had my first baby and was looking for a way to stay home and raise her myself and I found researchers’ Heaven. I kept turning up great market after market, but I hated putting up sites. I love compiling the research and all the bits you need to put it all together, but I hate the execution.

Were you put on this Earth to cash in on the AdSense websites?
Do you love putting up the sites, but hate diving into the research, commissioning the content and website templates, finding the keywords and testing the tools?

Then we’re a match made in Heaven. I’m making my research and all the trimmings available to a select group of AdSense marketers.

This isn’t your typical membership site. This is an exclusive membership service with top quality research and content. Only a very limited number of people will ever have access to this monthly material.

We know that our population will never exceed 500, but we are only opening the AdGold Rush for 197 miners to start. Duplicate content is a big issue with AdSense marketing and we want to make sure we don’t flood the markets with all the same content, so…

Only 197 miners can join the AdGold Rush at this time.

If you are looking to take your AdSense marketing to the next level with minimal effort, I’d like to share my AdGold Rush with you.

Sign up for my Prospective Miners List and I’ll keep you up with all the details and happenings. I’ll also send you the first installment of my AdSense Double Feature report covering two of the most asked questions – What does a successful AdSense site look like? and What will get me banned from Google’s AdSense?

Be sure to read to the end of the report to find out about our Miner 49er Contest. One lucky winner will walk away with a free 6 month claim. Get your report at www.adgold-rush.com.

Google: Enabling & Profiting from Information Pollution

The most recent blog meme is Google's Blogger is a mass spam system.

David Sifry says he thinks that between 2 & 8% of blogs are spam, but I think just like people his systems are not good at detecting much of the spam.

Google maintains that they care:

When spam goes up, it directly affects the quality of those results. I'm exceedingly sympathetic with these folks because, well, we run one of those services ourselves.

But do they really care?

Think of blog search as a form of vertical search. If blog search is less useful and filtering through the spam

* kills profit margins
* slows blog search innovation

then more people will opt to use general search.

While Jeff Jarvis thinks Google should share it's tricks for not indexing blog spam I don't see why they would want to. Since Google has not put much effort into making their blog search anywhere near as good as their regular search I don't think they mind if nearly all blog search engines are full of spam.

Blog search full of spam = user may as well use general search = $ for Google. And, on another front, that helps Google ensure blog search sucks really bad until they create the solution, and then they get credit for doing right what their competitors could not :)

Just as a curiosity question, how hard would it be to attenuate trust, only trusting new blogs if they were co-cited by multiple trusted sites? There has to be an algorithmic way to do it. If you were worried about new sites being locked out then you could offer multiple search options:

* the filtered trusted version
* the unfiltered version
* perhaps people could even enter their own trusted friends, levels of trust, minimum trusted citations, or make trust a slidable scale & use AJAX to reorder the results as the trust score is adjusted

On top of owning general search Google also wants to be the first port of call for vertical search. Just look at their recent desires on the real estate front.

Through monetizing spam production with AdSense and making publishing free and easy Google pollutes competing information systems for personal profit.

The same thing that is going on in vertical search scene is also going on in general search. Google has an algorithmic probationary period for most new sites. The same sites tend to rank MSN Search & Yahoo! Search quicker and easier.

By paying search spammers via AdSense Google is funding the information pollution that undermines the usefulness of competing search products. As I have stated in the past, Google generally does not give a shit if AdSense is on spam sites or sites that make money stealing other's copyrighted work.

Now what happens if Google ends up indexing AdSense spam sites? Well suddenly it is a real issue then, and they pull out the we care card. Matt Cutts recommends you report it to Google, but the hidden message there is that Google cares only when the spam ranks in Google.

Meanwhile all the A list bloggers are asking Google to fix the problem when they fail to realize the profits this problem brings Google.

Maybe a large part of being the company that organizes the world's information is encouraging entrepreneurs to stuff garbage in rich competitors databases.

How To Blog For Fun & Profit! :: Deconstructing the Blog - Blogs Suck!

Great article about blogging for profit. One way to make money is to publish a blog, get tons of people to read it and then slap Google adsense adverts on it and just wait to the money to roll in. Well, that’s partly the truth, the other part and probably the major part is that you will have to work bloody hard and you are going to have to chose the right subject to blog on. My advice, blog about what you love, what you’re passionate about and just hope someone else on the Planet is just as passionate.

I guess my subject is money, making it and saving it.

What Is A Mini WebSite?

A mini website is a site which is devoted to selling one and only one product. Either software or an ebook. You have probably seen these sites all over the internet.

They consist of a one page sales letter and a thank you page.

The sales letter is packed full of information to tell your potential customer about all the benefits of the product you are offering. This page is usually quite long as it is your one opportunity to sell your product. The sales page will have all the reasons your customer needs the product you are selling. It will also tell what the product does or how it is used with examples to emphasize the fact that your customer can’t do without it. Sometimes there will be some testimonials from satisfied customers and some bonuses for a prompt purchase. At the end of the page, the customer will have the opportunity to purchase the product with a command for them to order now!

Once they have made their purchase, they are sent to the thank you page which has the download link for their purchase. It is important to add the download link for the purchased product in a very prominent place near the top of the page. No one wants to search for the item they have already paid for.

This thank you page should be considered a second sales page.

The great thing about this thank-you page is that you know the people reading it will buy from you. They already have! It has been proven that once a person buys something from you, they are more likely to buy more products from you if you keep offering a good product at a good price. So while you have them there, you will offer another product that compliments the already purchased product. You can string a series of related mini sites together and get several sales from the same person all at once. Don’t miss this opportunity to get another sale.

Your thank you page is a good place for you to offer a free gift or a unannounced bonus. All the visitor has to do to get your freebie is fill out a form with their name and email address. Almost everyone will take you up on the free offer and you have just collected their information to send them even more offers.

The thank-you page is also a great place to add your Google AdSense ads. After the customer has downloaded their purchased product, filled out the form for your free offer and looked at, and hopefully bought, the other offers you have available, they are still on your thank you page. Place your Google AdSense ads at the bottom of this page. The next logical choice for them is to click a Google Ad or close the window. Most people will click on an ad.

So you have your sale, their name and email address for future sales, possibly a second or third sale and a little extra cash from your Google ads.

The beauty of this whole operation is you don’t have to be present to make sales or ship goods. It is all done electronically. Once you get traffic to your mini site, it will do all the work for you. It will sell the product, collect the money, ’ship’ the item, make your second sales pitch, and collect the customer information. You make 100% profit from the sale.

You check your email every once in a while and find you have made more money!

Optimizing these mini sites for the search engines is a breeze. You only have one page to optimize. What could be easier?

PLUS… Nothing to join. You don’t have to sign up for a bunch of affiliate programs and deal with setting up the affiliate links. You own the products you are selling. You don’t share your profits with anyone. 100% of the money from your sales goes right into your pocket!

Where do you get these mini websites?

You can create your own ebooks or software and sell them or you can buy resell rights products. When you buy a product that offers resell rights, you now have the right to sell this product and keep all the profits. Just like if you created the product yourself.

Once you have your product, you only have to write the sales page and the thank you page and you are in business.

The beauty in these Mini WebSites is that you can set them up, optimize them and then just let them work for you. It’s like having a whole staff of sales people working for your 24 hours a day and you don’t even have to pay them. Start setting up your mini websites today.

Blogging For Profit; The Simple Success Strategies

A blog is a simple but powerful tool which all marketers and businesses should be utilising to explode their sales, build credibility and improve customer retention. I've been doing a lot of research with regards to blogging and came across a case of a 19 year old kid who was making something ridiculous like $50,000 a year with a blog on mobile phones, from his bedroom! This is an extraordinary case but clearly there is a good earning potential through blogs, however they do take time to grow and build up a readership. Blogs provide a very simple, quick and easy means to add fresh content to your website. As Im sure youve heard many times over content is king from a search engines view point and by providing high quality, regularly updated content your website should benefit with regards to your search engine ranking. By providing fresh, high quality relevant content you will gain an increase of both first time visitors and repeat visitors, they will come back to check out your new content. Providing its interesting, relevant and useful to them, you will begin to build relationships with your readers, increasing your credibility and building their trust in you and your business. These repeat visitors will be exposed to your messages more and begin to trust you and your recommendations. This in turn will fuel sales and referrals. Just make sure you dont recommend a product you havent tried, if it is bad you will lose all credibility. Whenever you buy a new product, review it in your blog and be brutally honest, your readers will love you for it. Take a completely unbiased view point and talk about both the positives and negatives of each product. In essence you are providing more of an insight into the product than the sales page itself, this will help convert those prospects that are sitting on the fence so to speak. As it has been shown that prospects are seven to ten times more likely to buy from a blog recommendation than from other sources! There are many ways in which you can monetize your blog, for example, by using it as a tool to promote your own products or affiliate programs. Other ways that you can generate extra income through your blog are through the Google Adsense program, selling banner/link space as your traffic increases or by adding you own opt-in sign up form to which you send your newsletter or other targeted offers. Your blog can be syndicated using RSS, enabling savvy webmasters to use your blog content on their web pages. This benefits them as they have regularly updated fresh content for their website and benefits you through increased exposure, free targeted traffic and extra inbound links. To get the most benefit from my blog I use a technique called blogging and pinging, whereby every time I post to my blog, I ping Ping-o-matic.com to inform the search engines and blog directories Ive updated my blog. You should submit your blog feed to blog directories to gain more exposure. You can do this manually however, these are three automated sources that I have had the most success using and best of allthey are free! http://pingomatic.com/ http://www.rssfeedpromoter.com/ . http://www.feedsubmitter.com/ Be passionate about your blog, love your blog. If you do not then it will become obvious through your posts and you are unlikely to be anywhere near as successful as you could be. Add to your blog regularly provide good quality content and reviews and you will be on your way to blogging success. About the Author

Why would Google want to give you money?

Good question. After all, you're no huge dot-com company with millions of visitors every day, right? Why would Google care about you? They do.
Look...if they'll work with my crazy Aunt 'Nita, they'll work with you! Here's why.
My Aunt Anita collects miniature Hummel dolls. I'm not a big fan, but she's, well, crazy about them. And she's got a web page that talks about them, and has a few links to Hummel distributors, Hummel discussion groups and mailing lists and the like. You know - a real fan page. So when she put Google AdSense ads on all the web pages in her site, she started to make money from people who were visiting the site anyway, and who started clicking on the ads.
And not just a little money, either. Last month, Aunt Anita made close to $500. That's $6000 a year, for about an hour's worth of work, reading this Guide and putting just the right code on her site to make it work.

What's Google AdSense?

First off, you must have heard about Google by now. It's the largest index of what's on the Internet, and it's the world's most popular Web site. Hey, it's even a verb - if you want to find something on the Internet, you "Google" it.
Guess what? Google wants to give you money. Read on.
The folks at Google are smart. They're not part of the whole dot-com bust of a few years ago. They know that to stay in business, they need to make money. And to do that, they put little text ads on their search results page. So...when you search for something, say, "puppy training," you'll get back your results fast, and on the page with the results, you'll see a few small, text-only ads. And not just any ads - ads that are keyed to what you were searching for.
So if you search for puppy training, you'll get ads for pet food, puppy training videos, animal shelters and more. Why? Because people that sell stuff for puppies have said to Google, "Look - if anyone searches for stuff on puppies, we'll pay you to show our ad to them." That's how Google makes their money.
It really is great - the ads are small, so they're not annoying, and they are "relevant" - they match the subject you're interested in.
So...Google has these all over their Web site. And there's something more - if you have a website Google lets you put ads on your site too - and they pay you every time someone clicks on one of their ads! Get this: Google is so smart, that the only types of ads that show up on your Web sites are ads that are related to the content on your Web pages.
And Google splits the money with you when someone clicks on your ads. Lots of money.
That's right.
Google is standing by, waiting to give you money for the ads that you put on your web site, and that people click on. Every month, like clockwork, you get a check.
And once you've put the code on your site, you don't have to do a thing, except maybe go on vacation or play some tennis or treat yourself to a spa weekend - and let your website visitors do all the work.

Google Adsense - The easiest way to make money online

For the last couple of months, Google Adsense has dominated forums, discussions and newsletters all over the Internet. Already, there are tales of fabulous riches to be made and millions made by those who are just working from home. It seems that Google Adsense have already dominated the internet marketing business and is now considered the easiest way to making money online.
The key to success with Adsense is the placing of ads on pages that are receiving high traffic for high demand keywords. The higher the cost-per-click to the advertiser, the more you will receive per click from your site. Obviously, it does not pay to target low cost-per-click keywords and place them on pages that do not receive hits.
With all the people getting online and clicking away everyday, it is no wonder why Google Adsense has become an instant hit.
For some who are just new to this market, it would be a blow to their pride knowing that their homepage is buried somewhere in the little ads promoting other people's services. But then, when they get the idea that they are actually earning more money that way, all doubts and skepticism is laid to rest.
There are two major, and clever, factors that some successful webmaster and publishers are learning to blend together in order to make money easier using Adsense.
1. Targeting high traffic pages on your website. If you check on your logs, you will discover that many of your visitors are taking advantage of the free affiliate marketing resources and ebooks that you are offering on your site. In simple words, your ads are working effectively and are generating more clicks. It also means more money for you.
2. Placing Adsense links on pages that are producing little, or better yet, no profit. By placing Adsense on a free resources page, you will reduce the amount of potential customers being lost to other sites. Tricky, but effective nonetheless.
When learned to work effectively, these two factors are actually a good source of producing a minimal amount of revenue from a high traffic page. Many people are using this strategy to pick up some extra and cash with Adsense. This is also especially rewarding to informational sites that focus their efforts on delivering powerful affiliate link free content to their visitors. Now they can gain a monetary return on their services.
With the many techniques that people are now learning on how to make the easiest money by their Adsense, it is not surprising that Google is trying everything to update and polish their Adsense in order to maintain their good image.
The possibility of adding is 2nd tier in Adsense is not impossible. With all the people spending more time in their Adsense now and still more getting into this line of marketing, there is no doubt about the many new improvements yet to be made. Imagine the smiles on the faces of the webmasters and publishers all around the world if ever they sign up for sub-affiliates and double or even triple the amount that they are already earning. The one particularly handy money-making feature that is available with Adsense now is the ability to filter out up to 200 urls. These gives webmasters the option to block out low value offers from their pages as well as competitors to their websites. Talk about taking only those that are advantageous and discarding the ones that seem "useless".
With Google Adsense, the possibilities are limitless. Yet there is also the possibility of someone taking advantage of the easy money process that this internet marketing is doing. If you think more about it, these negative factors may force Google to break down and thrash Adsense in the process. If that happens, people would have to go back to the old ways of internet marketing that does not make money online as easy as Adsense.
For now, however, Google Adsense is here to stay. As long as there are people wanting to earn some easy cash online just using their talents, the future ahead is looking good. Besides with all the strict guidelines that Google is enforcing over Adsense, it will take awhile for the Adsense privileges to be spammed and even terminated

Google Adsense is Getting Competition

Most SEO’s (Search Engine Optimizers) who build web sites for the sole purpose of profit have known how effective Google Adsense can be placed on their web sites. Google Adsense is an advertising network that you can sign up and place Google’s advertising on your web site. When a viewer clicks on an ad that is placed on your site, you are paid a portion of the advertising proceeds and the viewer is sent to the advertiser’s web site hopefully to buy their product.

Google Adsense has been extremely successful for all three parties; the advertiser, Google, and the Web site owner. However, since Google has become so successful, the other big web portals have been looking to also join the game.

In the next few months Yahoo, who already has a beta version of a pay per click model up and running will be expanding its service. At the moment, web site developers have an extremely long wait to be included into the Yahoo pay per click program. But that may change. Microsoft and AOL have also been seriously thinking about or building their pay per click programs as well. This is great news for a lot of web site owners that make their living off pay per click advertising. The more partners, the more security they have. They no longer have to worry about one supplier in town.

For advertisers this may also be an interesting development. Right now there is lots of competition for adverting. Will more places to advertise lower the cost, or will it create a bidding frenzy? Only time will tell. Now that Google Adsense is not the only game in town, things may change.

How much of Google do you use?

Maybe I’m the only one that thinks this, but IMO Google seems to be throwing every idea up against the wall to see if it sticks, and so far has been extremely unsuccessful in getting anything other than Search, News, and perhaps Gmail, to work.

Take this simple test:

1. Go to their “More” page
2. How many of those services have you tried?
3. Out of the ones you’ve tried, which ones do you regularly use?

For me, I just use Search & News. I use Google mail when I will travel to far-off lands that won’t let me use my laptop. That’s it.

I’ve tried Picasa, then uninstalled it. Google Earth: was extremely impressed 2-3 times and haven’t used it since. I don’t trust their privacy policies so I stay away from Desktop or Pack.

Google seems like an “infant” company. Infants touch everything they can get their hands on and quickly put it in their mouth. And right now the press just loves a new baby.

My prediction is that over time, the Google honeymoon will be over and we’ll look at them just a little more critically than we do today. It’s already started w/ their stock prices taking some hits.

I think Adsense/Adwords is highly assailable. Competition will either erode their share paying by higher rates, or erode their profit by forcing Google to pay a higher percentage of the gross revenue.

Gmail is cool, but I’d like to see how much revenue they actually get on the clickthroughs. It’s one thing to click on a relevant ad when you’re actually searching for something, but I’ve NEVER clicked on an ad while I’m trying to get my email work done.

I love Google News, but they aren’t making $0.01 off it. And if they ever do decide to monetize, I think MSM will sue the crap out of them for copyright infringement.

Time will tell if I’m right on this.

Make Money Blogging.

A free blog is an excellent way of beginning your online empire. Costs are low and potential returns are high.Getting started is easy. Just head over to www.blogger.com and setup your blog. Alternatively if you want a more feature rich platform, consider getting your own domain and web hosting so you can take advantage of freeware like Wordpress. Many people start with Blogger then move to Wordpress once they grow in confidence,

Pick a topic you are really interested in and which has good keyword traffic (these are the words people use to search for things in search engines). DigitalPoint has a free keyword tool that is very easy to use. You can also check your keyword (or tag) out at Technorati to see how popular it is. In general, the most popular keywords are the most profitable.

Now, all you need to do, is ensure you post something every day, then when the post is done tell the world that you have updated your blog. You do this by issuing a ‘ping’. Platforms like Wordpress do this automatically. If you use Blogger then you must use a service like Pingomatic to do it for you.

As the number of your posts increase, search engines will regularly stop by to pick up new content. Your visitors will begin to grow. Your objective is to get as many visitors as possible to visit your blog. The more people who visit your blog the more money you will make.

Make no mistake, the opportunity is there. The top blogs make in excess of $10,000 per month. But be warned, there are no shortcuts. Lots of hard work, unique fresh content and a dash of inspiration and you too can achieve these returns.

By now you will have put in the hard work to develop your weblog. It's become a labor of love. Now its time for all that hard work to pay off. Here are some suggestions for making money with your blog:

(1) One of the most popular methods of making money with blogs is to host ads. Google Adsense is a good example. You let Google put their ads on your site and get paid when people click on the ads. Other advertising works in a similar way. Blogads, Adbrite, Chikita and Double click are other examples of paid advertising.

(2) For a fee you can allow people to place links to their blog or website on your blog. These advertising positions can be sold on Ebay, via somewhere like TextLink Brokers or directly from your site.

(3) Affiliate programs work on blogs as well as they work on websites. Affiliate with companies that sell products related to your site. When people click on the link in your blog and purchase a product, you profit. This is another way of making money online with blogs that doesn't cost you anything. If you are passionate about a product and write about it, this can work very well.

(4) If you have a website, blog about some aspect of it and provide a link. Your weblog can effectively sell the product, and all the customer has to do is click to your site and order it.

There are many ways to make money with your blog. I hope this simple guide helps you on the way to earning a good return.

As a parting piece of advice, don’t believe the hype you read. There are no short cuts. You are unlikely to make instant, riches, but with some hard work and great content, you can generate a good additional income from your blog.
